Highly detailed, great looking bike, not too fast, perfect for indoors, and looks great on its stand. It's rare though, so if you like it, check out other more common Taiyo RC motorbikes.

MODEL REVIEW

The Taiyo Honda CR250R is one of several 1/6 scale RC motorbikes manufactured by Taiyo Toys (Japan), and released into the Japanese market in 2001.

Features and Performance

Based on Taiyo's proprietary inbuilt gyro technology, it runs on a 6.0V battery pack which provides adequate performance, though does not compare with modern brushless RC motorbikes.

While small and convenient, the 5xAA Ni-CD inside that pack provide JUST enough power to make it worthwhile, though they're not fast by any means, and in my opinion is ideal for bashing around indoors (jumps, stunts, etc.) more so than outdoors where the lack of top speed will be obvious.

These bikes will lean around corners like a real bike, and while not especially fast or powerful, the unique two-wheel 'driving' experience is an interesting diversion from the regular four wheeled RC toy.

Availability and Collectability

This particular bike, the Honda RC211V isn't especially common, and does not appear to have been sold outside of Japan. As a result there's very few videos of this bike running, but thankfully someone uploaded one fairly recently - thanks Cs Mini RC!
