RC Suspension Patent 3

The Taiyo and Tyco Collectors community is  small, so it’s important that we share information and help each other as much as possible.

The following are some useful links to resources which helped and inspired me, and which I think are worth your time.

AmPro Engineering (YouTube)

Responsible for my Tyco RC infatuation. One of the best YouTube RC channels, unspoiled by popularity, no clickbait, just high quality content with a true engineering mindset while still being entertaining. He even sells upgrade parts for old Tyco and Tamiya models.

AmPro Shapeways

Heaps and heaps of quality 3D printed parts to buy for classic Tyco, Tamiya, and other cars. Also see his Youtube channel, what a champion.

xobyot.com

This dude has made several Tyco 3D printed parts such as battery covers and lights, great work!

TAIYO R/C Club (Tyco, Metro, Dickie)
タイヨーラジコン

The fastest growing Facebook group on the subject, established by NostalgiaRC. Highly Recommended!

Classic and Vintage RC Cars (RC-Junkies.net )

One of the best information sources on vintage R/C, I particularly recommend their “History of R/C” page. The owner, Jaap, was also the first enthusiast to put up his hand and help me out, so it’s run by a good bloke too! Recommended

DinoRidersWorld.com

The Ultimate Resource on Dino Riders! I came upon this while researching my own articles on the topic, and was blown away by the presentation and total comprehensiveness of the site. Recommended! Also check Instagram.

Radicon.blog.jp

Incredible Japanese collector of Taiyo Radi-Can models, also has some larger stuff, just a wonderful blog. Arigato to whoever runs this site, it’s awesome.

Tested.com (YouTube)

Adam Savage is an endless source of inspiration for not  just the maker community, but any person who just wants to sit down and give something a shot. If you’re in need of a little content for your maker soul, Adam and his team are my go-to.Recommended!

Nikko,Tyco, Radio Shack, Taiyo vintage RC cars and beyond.

Another good Tyco, Taiyo RC group on Facebook.

Wolf Design Review

Wow, what a cool site! I found them originally due to their great article on the Taiyo Porsche 956, but then realized the site was full of 80s-90s design gold. Check it out!

OverRc.com

(French language) – The most incredibly detailed site on RC racing I’ve ever seen! Also has build guides, I’m attempting TT02 myself. If you’re into Tamiya, you MUST check ths out.

PocketPowerToys.com

I came across this site while researching the Pocket Power article, and was immediately engrossed by its excellent design, and overall quality. Recommended!
