The Tyco Hot Rod Truck was a Hot Wheels branded radio controlled car manufactured by Mattel under their Tyco R/C brand, and released into various countries worldwide in 1999.
Powered by a 6.0V Jet Turbo battery, the Hot Rod Truck was also a 6V DP Power Clip compatible car (DP meaning Dual Power), which included a small 4 x AA Alkaline battery cartridge which allowed regular batteries to be inserted, and that cartridge then slotted into any typical 6.0V radio controlled car.

As for performance, Mattel documentation for another car in the series (Hot Rod Coupe) quotes 8.1mph or 13km/h with AA batteries using the 6V DP Power Clip, and 8.8mph or 14km/h using NiCd Batteries or the 6.0V Jet Turbo pack. Typically alkaline batteries would be more powerful, but since the DP clip took only 4, and the 6.0V Jet Turbo pack had 5 NiCd, it won out here for speed.

Availability and Collectability
The Mattel / Tyco Hot Rod series of cars appear online from time to time, often New In Box, and so if you're interested in one of these cars, at least for the time being, they should be relatively easy to obtain, and for a reasonable price.
