Replacement Tyco RC Parts
This page contains almost all of the replacement parts that I'm aware of for Tyco RC and Taiyo RC cars including Antennas, Bumpers, Battery Covers, Batteries, Suspension and more. Several are manufactured by GTek on eBay, who I don't know personally but is an absolute champion.
You can also check the Tyco RC Restoration Guide for some tips and tricks.

Replace missing battery covers for the standard Tyco square/box RC controller.
Tyco Controller Battery Covers
Suitable for the 9.6V models with a deluxe pistol grip controller.

Tyco RC Deluxe Pistol Grip with Hand Guard Battery Cover
The battery cover for the hand guard version of the pistol grip controller is slightly different, you'll need this one for that.
Tyco Bandit / Turbo Hopper / Wild Thing / Eliminator Battery Cover
Replacement for these models only.
MK1 / MK2 8xAA Tyco Turbo Hopper
Battery Cover (inc. Taiyo Jet Hopper)
Replacement for the classic 8xAA battery models only, not the 9.6V models. Also works with derivatives like Aero Hopper.

If you have access to a 3D printer, you can download these files to print your own replacement parts. There are more than this which I've saved somewhere, next update I'll try to expand the list.

Batteries & Chargers
9.6V Turbo Battery Options
Budget Option - Fluro Green Battery Pack
These affordable batteries are perfect if you just want to have a quick blast around for nostalgia. While they claim to be 2000mAh, they're likely closer to 750mAh in reality. Not high quality, just cheap.
Tips:
- Don't pay over $16 USD for Battery + USB Charger
- Avoid the yellow ones (they're NiCd)
Mid-Range Option - GeiliEnergy Battery Pack
These batteries are more honest with their capacity rating and are widely used, being in cars I've bought from USA to Japan!
A good balance between price and performance for casual use of your vintage RC car.
Premium Option - High Discharge Branded Battery
Once you start getting into proper hobby grade pricing, there are many packs available. These will offer better power delivery and faster charging. While the difference in performance might be subtle for vintage RC cars, the improved charging speed gets you back to running more quickly.
Look for batteries with a 1C (or better) charge rate and a proper plug pack charger which will be faster than USB.

Cleaning Products
Pointed Cotton Swabs
These are fantastic at getting the dirt and grime stuck inside tiny crevices and accent lines, plus they're cheap and make a satisfying "crunch" between your fingers when they snap in half with too much pressure hehe.

Baby Wipes
Use baby wipes for the bulk cleaning of your RC car. They're perfect for the initial wipe-down of the entire vehicle, including wheels, tires, and suspension. Ensure you get fragrance-free wipes to avoid damaging stickers.

Super Clean Gel
This cleaning gel is excellent for getting into hard-to-reach places. Push it into corners, nooks, and crannies to pull out dirt and dust that wipes can't reach. It's also fun to use!
303 Vinyl Protectant
303 Vinyl Protectant is the best in my opinion, but it's a little bit expensive.
If you go for another one, just try to ensure it's silicone free, as while silicone will make it super shiny for the first minute, it will then attract dust and look terrible the next day.

Multi-Foam
This specialized cleaning foam is designed to be less reactive on paint and stickers, making it safer for your vintage RC car.
You should still avoid putting it directly on some stickers, such as the plastic warning stickers inside the battery bay on the bottom of cars, it will still instantly remove the black text. That's the only one I had an issue with, but still be careful.
Great for cleaning alloy wheels and detailed areas.
Warning: Use with caution around stickers!

Tools
Ultra Soft Detailing Brush
These generic "ultra soft" detailing brushes are like magic wands for cleaning tricky spots and hard-to-reach areas of your RC car.
Perfect for gently loosening dirt in corners before using wipes or Multi-Foam to clean it out.
Just get the cheapest set for your location, ideally a few different textures, from ultra soft to rougher.
