Features and Performance
There are some subtle changes to decals and body aerodynamics in the 1999 model compared with the earlier variant, however the core attributes stay the same:
9.6v 8xAA Tyco Battery Pack and Charger (included)
Updated Sponsor Decals, Body Styling
Slick Rubber Tires
Rigid Front and Bi-Directional Rear Suspension
Once again, due to the 8xAA powertrain we'd expect it packs a Mabuchi 280 motor, giving it plenty of speed, up to an estimated 25km/h.

Recommendation
With 9.6v Turbo Battery Pack and a 280 Mabuchi motor running such a small light plastic chassis, we'd expect this model to go and handle really well.
Given the low ground clearance, definitely for smooth indoor floors only.
Although this seems to be a "post-Tyco" era model designed by Mattel's internal team, we'd be happy with this one in our collection any day.
