This Taiyo Customax 4x4 Jeep Liberty is a built-it-yourself remote control car manufactured by Taiyo (Japan) and released into the Japanese market in 2005.
It was available in White and Gun Metal colors.
Packing 4xAAA / 6.0V power into such a small RC car makes for an exciting drive, especially given the various upgrade packs you could buy to tune the suspension, motor, wheels and tires (see photo below).
The CUSTOMAX 4x4 products were 2WD/4WD selectable, and even had a 'Turbo' mode on the controller, just like the larger Taiyo RC vehicles.

Recommendation
These are not only rare, but beautifully crafted and a testament to Taiyo's incredible design right up until the company closed (disbanded by Sega).
Due to Customax only bring released between 2004-2006 in Japan, they are incredibly rare and hard to come by, so if you see one, snatch it up quickly!
