The Taiyo Ryotsu Bicycle is a radio controlled toy released in the Japanese market in 2004.
Like me, many of you may be thinking "What? Oh Japan, you so crazy!", but apparently anyone familiar with this thing called "Anime" (apparently it's popular) will immediately know this guy as the main protagonist (anti-hero), a police officer in the long running Japanese cartoon series KochiKame.

OK, so it's based on something famous and popular for many people, got it. But what about the RC?
Features and Performance
If you look closely, past the obvious cartoon crazyness of it, this model is remarkably detailed and well made. The fabrics of his clothes, small pistol and belt, the anime-realistic skin and face details, and that's just the character! The bicycle looks so real, like a little metal model, but surely must be plastic?

At 11km/h, Ryotsu isn't going over any ramps, but we imagine he's just hilarious to 'drive', and based on the back of the box (see gallery) it seems like his legs may even cycle as it goes! Fantastic stuff!
Collectability
These seem to pop-up on Japanese sites occasionally, so if you wanted one, then you could probably get one if you were an anime/manga fan, and did'nt mind the cost of shipping from Japan. Heck, I don't watch manga, and even I want one!
Do you have a Taiyo Ryotsu Bicycle?
Please let us know in the chat below, we want to know if his legs cycle!
