The Taiyo Customax 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser 100 is a build it yourself remote controlled car released in 2004, available in Gun Metal, or White/Red with Paris-Dakkar Rally livery.
Packing 4xAAA / 6.0V power into such a small RC car makes for an
exciting drive, especially given the various upgrade packs you could buy
to tune the suspension, motor, wheels and tires (see photo below).
The CUSTOMAX 4x4 products were 2WD/4WD selectable, and even had a
'Turbo' mode on the controller, just like the larger Taiyo RC vehicles.

As they were only released between 2004-2006 in Japan, they are incredibly rare and hard to come by, so if you see one, snatch it up quickly!
