The Dickie Overland 4x4 was a radio controlled car manufactured by Taiyo (Japan) and distributed by Dickie Toys in Germany in 1986. It is a variation of the 1985 Taiyo 4x4 OffRoad Champ.

Concept
The bulk of the chassis and body is a regular Taiyo Off-Road 4x4 Champ, the addition of a driver with a large red helmet was obviously inspired by the Tamiya Wild Willy hobby-grade RC car. See below for a better shot of the driver.

Availability and Collectability
While a few more have shown up since I wrote this article, there's still very few available on the market, with perhaps one or two appearing each year. As for collectability, it's one of those models where people would be nostalgic about if they had one as a kid, but otherwise collectability might be limited due to its lack of availaiblity.
