While it may not compete with Taiyo's best cars and buggies, the Samurai is a unique, visually interesting, and fun toy to play with, and it's rarity and nostalgia factor make it a prize in any collection.

The Tyco Samurai is a radio control motorbike manufactured by Taiyo (Japan) and released into the US, UK, and other markets worldwide in 1996.
The western version of the Taiyo Ninja Racing Bike, the Samurai enhances the product (in our opinion) with Tyco's incredible packaging and design, and 90s fluorescent colors.
As per photos, the model is larger than you might expect, and so 18km/h (11mph) isn't too bad, especially for indoors. Just like the Ninja, it uses a gyro to self-balance, and so genuinely rides on 2 wheels like a real motorbike.
The packaging on the Samurai was on another level. What kid could resist this awesomeness!Imagine opening this on Christmas morning...
Availability and Collectability
The Tyco Samurai and Taiyo Ninja are generally available as standalone items, and boxed models also show up occasionally. It's very rare to see a NIB (New In Box), in fact the photos here are the only one I've ever seen. Occasionally you'll also find sellers looking to offload just the box for these 90s era Tyco RC toys simply because of how darn cool they are, and it's a great way to double the value of your item overnight. Boxes are magic!
As for collectability, well, if you're here reading about this then obviously you're sold on the whole aesthetic like I am. They're brilliant, and what's better, they're also fun to drive/ride! Personally I feel these toy are brought up to another level given their insanely cool design, and to me, that makes them valuable not just from a Tyco RC perspective, but just telling the story of 90s toys in general.
