The Tyco Wild Thing 4xAA version was a small 1/20 scale radio controlled car manufactured by Taiyo (Japan) and distributed across Europe, the US, and other countries worldwide in 1994.

Releasing a cheap, small, low performance RC toy named the same as your most popular higher performance product of the last few years seems a little deceptive in the modern commercial environment, but back in 1994 I assume this was just another Tuesday!
Features and Performance
Named after the Heads Up! Wild Thing Turbo Hopper which was immensely popular back then as it is today, yet sporting only mild performance and some of the looks of the original. It's essentially a 90s version of the Mini Hopper (4xAA) with a very 90s paint job.
As a child's first R/C car, it fulfills the task perfectly well, and by its own is a decent toy. At around 12km/h (7mph) it's fast enough to scoot around the kitchen, smack into your annoying sisters ankles, and make a getaway, but not quick enough to hit and wall and break something - so it's virtually indestructible unless you launch it very high into the air.
Sequel
A year later in 1994, its sequel would be released with the Wild Thing II, basically the same car with a refreshed box and paint job.
Availability and Collectability
Boxed as a multi-region product with what seems like every European language there is, however it was also sold in the United States, with several available online there at present. So availability won't be a problem.
As for collectability, well it's no classic. However with the low cost and full function, it's fairly certain that a large number of 90s kids had this as their first R/C car. Will there be an audience who love the car, and want to have one to ignite feelings of nostalgia? Only time will tell.
