Tyco Super Cliff Hangers was a electric racing slot car set manufactured by Tyco, and released into the US, UK, and other markets worldwide in 1994. This set is a re-design/re-release of the original 1983 Tyco Super Cliff Hangers, though it's much smaller in scope.
There are many 'Cliff Hanger' sets available, including Nite-Glow, Ultra Cliff Hangers, and Zero Gravity Cliff Hangers, which are covered separately.

Features
As the name implies, the core feature of this set is the "gravity defying" set pieces, namely the vertical wall climb, and the loop. Sadly, it does not have the inverted track section like its 1980s version.

Vehicles
Unlike the 1980s versions which came with Corvettes, this 1994 version was updated to the cool car of the day, which was the Lamborghini Countach, a car that would frequently appear in Tyco slot car and radio control toys well into the next decade.
What didn't change was the car chassis, with both remaining as Magnum 440-x2 cars, with double magnets in the bottom to allow for the various anti-gravity stunts.

Track and Layout
The most significant and noticeable change in this update is the track, which has shrunk to about 60% the original size, with the entire inverted section missing. Was this track section a source of issues for Tyco? Unlikely, since it was produced over many years and two different models.
Most likely they needed to keep a limit on the price to ensure the set was affordable, and so cut down on the track size, from 22 feet (almost 7m) of the original to 14 feet (4.2 metres) in this version, making a much shorter course, while still having 2 of the 3 features the set is known for.
Perhaps they learnt their lesson with this one, as a few short years later Tyco would release the absolutely mammoth 1997 Tyco Lamborghini Championship, well worth your time checking out!

Availability and Collectability
The 1994 variant of Super Cliff Hangers is relatively common, and pricing at the time of writing is on the lower end compared with many other tracks.
