The Tyco Rampage 6x6 (6.0V Jet Turbo) was a radio controlled car manufactured by Taiyo of Japan, and released into the US, UK, and other markets worldwide in 1994.
Features and Performance
The Rampage range of cars are based on the same chassis as the Tyco Scorcher / Taiyo Cyclone cars with an Eliminator body, added bumper, and fluorescent faux shocks.
This being the 'Mini' 6.0V variety, this model is based on the smaller Tyco Scorcher 4x6 and Taiyo Mini Cyclone 6x6. Comparison shown below.
Despite being a 6V 'Mini' model, it's HEAPS of fun, and will scoot around indoors at a decent pace, over obstacles, pushing smaller toys out of the way.

6x6 or 4x6?
Like the Scorcher and Cyclone before them, the Rampage suffered an identity crisis in Europe where it was argued that calling it a "6x6" was false advertising, since only 4 wheels were driven. As a result, there are packages of the Rampage in Europe where it's clearly marked "4x6", the same applying to all Scorcher models also.
Recommendation
If you're looking for a Rampage 6x6 (either 6.0V or 9.6V Turbo) and just can't locate one, our records show that Taiyo sold it under the same brand locally in Japan - so try searching for Taiyo Rampage instead. Failing that, if you can do without the Eliminator style body, the Tyco Scorcher and Taiyo Cyclone variants are much easier to find.
And as for whether they're worth getting? Absolutely, they remain just as fun today as they were in the 90s, and are increasingly sought by toy collectors worldwide.
Personally I prefer the original Scorcher/Cyclone body, but the Rampage continues to grow on me.
