Generally we'd recommend against any Micro car, though at least this one is styled like the legendary Eliminator.

MODEL REVIEW

The Tyco Micro Eliminator is a radio controlled car manufactured by Taiyo (Japan), and released in the US, UK, and other countries worldwide in 1991.

It is what we call a "reverse-turn" car, which means it's not full function but is only able to go forward, and can only change direction by reversing backwards at an angle.

Many of these simple, low cost R/C cars were released to capitalize on popular "9.6V Turbo" cars such as the Bandit, Eliminator, Wild Thing, Turbo Hopper, Blaster, and more.

The company knew younger siblings would be envious of older brothers and sisters with full power 9.6v cars such as the 9.6v Turbo Eliminator, and so releasing smaller 'Mini' and 'Micro' versions that were easier to drive and cost less made good business sense.

Recommendation

Fans of a particular car series, such as Bandit, Eliminator, Wild Thing, Jet Hopper and others may wish to have "the whole set", making grabbing a well kept Micro Eliminator a sensible decision.

However generally we'd recommend against the Micro range generally, unless you have a particular nostalgia for them. Without full function they are'nt much fun to drive, and are fairly cheaply made, unlike most "Mini" versions which retain full function, decent speed, and the same full size quality of the originals.
