The Taiyo Ferrari 348 is a 9.6V dual motor radio control car released in 1990, with a top speed of 31km/h or 19mph.
This is the original Ferrari 348 released two years before the US 'Tyco' variant, both of which are super rare, and with that incredible chassis and dual Mabuchi 280 motors. If you've not driven one, I can tell you they go with a feeling of immediacy, power, and torque that no other Taiyo or Tyco has.
This version comes with an 8xAA battery container, compared with the Tyco variant 2 years later which required the 9.6v battery pack.

Have you ever seen a better looking on-road radio control car than the Taiyo Ferrari 348?
Sharing its incredible chassis with the Taiyo Lamborghini Countach Twin Turbo, it has excellent road feel, and an exquisitely designed double wishbone suspension system with shock damper up the front.
Underneath the Taiyo Twin Turbo Ferrari 348 is just as elegant, with hobby-grade suspension and twin motor goodness.

When purchasing any car with this chassis online, be sure to check that shock damper (photo below) is still in place, as this is the most common failure point of the chassis. Usually a crash at high speed that hits one of the wheels directly will cause the piece holding the shocker and the wheel together to crack, despite being strengthened in later models.
