The Tyco Porsche 962 or Turbo Porsche 962 is a 1/20 scale radio controlled toy manufactured by Taiyo (Japan) and released onto the US, UK, and other international markets in 1988.
Based on the 1987 Porsche 962 IMSA GTP car (pictured below), with an incredible black and red paint job and gold wheels, it's got aggressive style and excellent performance.
Important: This is a simpler, single-motor variant of the more sophisticated Tyco Porsche 962 Twin Turbo which is an absolute monster of a semi-hobby grade R/C.

This Tyco model is based on an entirely different chassis to the Twin Turbo / Dual Motor Porsche 962C variants, and is much simpler overall.

Recommendation
All variants of the Porsche 962 models are rare to see on eBay or other auction sites, although occasionally I see the RadioShack version.
While I would prefer a 962 Twin Turbo for its dual motor configuration and superior suspension system, this simpler 962 is also highly desirable and sure to remain popular.
