MODEL REVIEW

The Taiyo Super Fight F-1 (2 Motor) is a 1/12 scale radio control car released in Japan in 1987.

Not to be mistaken for the other Taiyo Super Fight F-1 (Single Motor) released in the same year, this Super Fight F-1 is quite a different beast underneath.

Performance

Underpinned by the legendary chassis made famous by the Taiyo Lamborghini Countach, it's as fast and feature packed as any Taiyo model.

  • Large 1:12 scale
  • 9.6v 'Turbo' 8xAA (12v Aklaline)
  • 'Twin Turbo' 2 x Mabuchi 280 motors
  • Top Speed of 31km/h
  • Taiyo's most sophisticated front end suspension
  • Rear Differential
  • Slick F-1 style racing tires
  • Highly detailed Formula 1 style body

Country of manufacture

It seems these are manufactured both in Japan, and Singapore. While models for the Japanese market are virtually always 'Made in Japan' our Japanese model is 'Made in Singapore'. And inversely, our Global (English/French) version is 'Made in Japan'!

Recommendation

The Super Fight F-1 (2 Motor) is a fast and exciting drive, for an 80s 'toy' model, though it will require a smooth flat road surface to run on. Highly recommended.
