The Taiyo 4x4 Winch Super Roader was released in 1986 as one of several 3xC+9V and 4xC+9V chassis 4WD vehicles, a few of which featured the working motor driven winch.

Features and Performance
The Taiyo Super Roader is one of the better iterations of this timeless Taiyo 4x4 design, with the front winch powered by setting the usual fast/slow switch to the additional 3rd setting of "winch". This allowed the controller to power the forward/reverse of the winch, instead of driving the truck itself.

As with other models, this is not a speed demon, and it will chew through the 3xC and 1x9V batteries which are all onboard, not counting the 9v in the controller!

Regardless, it's a classic, and most serious collectors will have at least one of these designs in their collection.
