Tires/Wheels for Tyco Indy car
Quote from sjs on January 22, 2025, 2:29 amI have the Rick Mears Tyco Indy car. The tires are in need of replacement. At this point, I don't care if the replacement is a slick or something else. Are there tires that can be fit partially on the rim? Or how to remove the rim and put on new tires and rims?

Quote from sjs on February 4, 2025, 6:02 amDecided not to remove the rims. Found that 1" tires seem to fit over the rim ok. However could not find slicks at 1" and could not find wide tires for the rear at 1". Ended up getting some crawler tires. Looks ok from side view. But from top, you can see the rears are narrow.
If anyone else has other ideas?

When I need to do mine, the first place I"ll look is the Tamiya wire catalog. It's a published book, however there are some websites that attempt to list the same information, such as this one: https://tamiyabase.com/parts/wheels
Tamiya are easily the largest maker of R/C wheels, so a good chance you'd find something that fits.
I kinda like your crawler tires though!
