This Taiyo Toyota Hilux 4WD is the Japanese version of the 4WD Winch Super Roader, however we’ve been unable to identify the model number or production year.
As one of Taiyo’s first RC car designs, it’s not especially fast or efficient – with 4x C size batteries AND a 9V onboard the vehicle (plus another 9V in the controller!) this thing will eat up batteries in no time, so you’d best have some rechargeables handy!
In any case, it’s timeless design that was used for a dozen other Taiyo 4×4’s, the Toyota Hilux branding, and the frankly excellent remote controlled winch feature all make for an absolute classic Taiyo RC that deserves to be part of any collection, in one way or another.
