MODEL REVIEW

One of several Taiyo Suzuki Vitara RC vehicles, this one is the original Made in Japan for the Japanese market.

With a reasonable RC chassis, and featuring engine noises and sound effects, the Sound Spark was a unique and memorable contribution from Taiyo to the toy RC market.

If you think you’ve seen the chassis before, it was also used for the Jet Bandit, and a modified version a few years later for the Tyco Python and Fire Power.

This ‘Sound Spark’ version is especially rare, though does pop up occasionally in Japan on auction. The core feature of the Sound Spark is it’s built-in sound effects (listen in the YouTube video below) strikingly similar to modern WPL RC cars.

Checkout the YouTube video below to hear the sounds it makes.
Note this is upgraded to a Brushless motor, the original isn’t quite so fast!
