The Taiyo Heads Up Hopper is a 1/14 radio controlled car released into the global market in 1989.
Features
Based on the Taiyo Jet Hopper II, the Heads Up Hopper’s main feature is the drivers head which turns left and right according to steering inputs.

Performance
Unlike the Jet Hopper II, the Heads Up Hopper’s we’ve tested have a solid rear axle (no differential), the same as Heads Up Wild Thing Turbo Hopper, however the overall features remain largely the same:
9.6v ‘Turbo’ 8xAA battery power
Chrome plated rims
Wider Air Filled Front and Rear Tires
Heat Sink on the 280 Mabuchi motor
Top Speed of 27kmh/17mph

Recommendation
The Heads Up / Jet Hopper II range of cars are some of the best Taiyo ever made, and while it’s evident how they obtained the performance improvements (mainly by lightening the chassis, which is why you’ll see more broken JH2 than JH1), it’s still an absolute classic and a must-have for any Tyco Collector.
