The Taiyo Mini Hopper 3 is a radio control car released into the global market in 1988.
A smaller 1:20 version of the larger Taiyo Jet Hopper MK3, running on 4xAA batteries. It was aimed at parents looking for a cheaper option, and younger kids who couldn’t handle the full sized 1:16 higher powered 9.6V cars.
From a modern collectors perspective, the Mini Hopper range makes an excellent first buy as they’re relatively cheap, available on eBay, and will instantly bring back that warm and fuzzy nostalgia from your younger years! Recommended.
